So much exciting news. Matador Records is reissuing vinyl runs of their most popular out-of-print releases. This includes all the Pavement stuff, Belle & Sebasatian, Interpol, Cat Power, etc. etc.  Prices can’t be beat (about $12 a disc). Get ‘em while they’re hot, and f’ ebay.

Then, after much time away from home in recent weeks, I discovered the garden I planted is sprouting like an mfer. Bean, carrots, lettuce, watermelon – oh I can’t wait. hope to get some tomatoes going soon too. Then, you’re welcome to come over for a tasty salad.

And did I mention Built to Spill is touring? Very exciting, though it looks like they’re playing fewer shows at larger venues this time around, as opposed to the more traditional 3-4 day stints at smaller places.

And, while unconfirmed by Up Records, I’m very excited to see June 5 as the release date for the vinyl of ‘You in Reverse’, and the reissues of ‘Keep it like a secret’ and ‘Perfect from now on’. Holy shit I’m excited.

i don’t even mind who’ll you’ll be waking with tomorrow

This was my college advisor, Adolfas

He’s a genius, and I was a punk kid. I need to remember to pay better attention to the geniuses when I meet them. Hmmm…..

Spent a couple hours writing last night, which was nice – got about 17-18 pages into a book I’ve been meaning to write for a couple years now, which felt good. Of course, I’ve got about 15 10-page novels so far, so we’ll see what happens. Who knows!

Camus wrote ‘The Stranger’ when he was 27. I gotta get my shit together. There are just too many distractions in this modern world.

Still waiting on getting interview questions back from Seth and Chris Ware. Has Crumb spread the word that I’m not to be trusted?
